The stories are great, but the misspellings are aggravating.

I don't usually read "romance novels" but I love Candace's way of telling a story, so I tried this one since it's brand new. Very realistic, no spoilers... but I felt like I was working the case with them. The romantic scenes weren't overdone, and I could feel the suspense and fear. Really well researched and realistic. Excellent book.

Hardheaded love

I swear if Candace Irvin wrote a telephone book I would still purchase it and stay up all night reading it because she is just that good!

An interesting story with lots of action, in more ways than one lol. Great characters.

Candace Irvin has written an absorbing romantic system with three-dimensional characters and an extremely complex plot.

Joaqu�n (Joe) and Tess met each other, six years ago, during their FBI training. Even then they both had feelings for each other. However, since Tess was engaged, they chose to keep their feelings a secret. Instead, they became best friends.

Now, Tess is working undercover as an emergency room nurse (her first occupation). It appears that someone in this hospital is illegally selling drugs. She and Joaquin are pretending to be husband and wife in order to find the proof needed to convict whoever is doing it.

The plot takes an interesting turn when Tess and Joe realize that something more than drug smuggling is happening. This crime is even worse than their original suspicion and puts both of their lives in serious danger.

Meantime, while Tess and Joe work closely together in their search, the couple�s love for each other is becoming more and more difficult for them to hide. In fact, their attraction makes it difficult for them to completely concentrate on the investigation.

Additionally, Joe is totally obsessed about a major event that happened to him years ago when he was still a child. This traumatic experience still haunts him and manages to complicate of his life. It is because of Joe�s preoccupation with this experience, that he finds it difficult to stay focused on his current mission.

The rocky relationship between Joe and Tess, impressively, runs parallel with the mystery and shakiness of their undercover mission. As if that weren�t enough, the twists and turns they find in their current case are very similar with the surprises in the traumatic event that occurred when Joe was a child.

Unquestionably, this is a page-turner with lots of action and intrigue that will have readers sitting on the edge of their seat.

Great characters with Tessa and Joe who are both DEA Agents and secretly in love with each other but not willing to share that info with the other. Very good writing that kept me on the edge of my seat as I wondered "will they or won't they", what is Joe's secret and why can't they see that they are perfect for each other? This is great writing and a must read story that will leave you breathless

Great read

Loved this newest addition in the series. Joe and Tessa....so much emotion, both past and present for these two DEA agent best friends. Their journey to accepting and following their feelings to their HEA was full of heart wrenching emotion amongst danger, action, and suspense as they worked to solve a case that turned ominous.

I loved TJ and Karin, ESPECIALLY TJ. He is Hispanic, sweet, handsome, funny, completely Alpha. And we know early on that he loves Karin. Usually I am more into stories where characters don�t immediately realize their love for each other. It leaves so much room for the rest of the story for the characters to get to know each other and fall completely in love. In this case, we know TJ�s feelings right from the beginning. Even so, there was so much that happened after their first few meetings that were fun and enjoyable to read about.

TJ and Karin met about 6 months ago. They both liked each other immediately but their time together was cut short when Karin learns about TJ�s past with women. He�s been with so many women that he can�t even remember how many. That did upset me but it was nice knowing how long he has been away from them. I liked the way he was steadfast in this goal. His character was nicely written although he does get a little too sweet and mushy. He uses a lot of Spanish throughout the book, especially, endearments towards Karin which she doesn�t understand until the end.

I loved that Karin was truly inexperienced, an innocent with men. She has a reason for this related to her own father. She is intelligent and though she wants to hide her feelings for TJ, she never really succeeds.

I did get a little confused several times near the end. It seemed as if the author rushed to the ending because the transitions between each new scene were abrupt.

Overall, not one of the best that I have read with this type of plot, but comes close.

Great romantic suspense

Candace delivers another great romantic suspense in the Mission: Undercover series. Tomas and Karin battle outside forces on their way to their HEA. Tomas is a man who isn't giving up on the love of his life despite her determination to deny their fate. And when danger comes, a story of action, suspense, and discovering what really matters as their journey plays out.

Another, simply put... AMAZING, story by Ms. Irvin that will keep you glued to page after page of heart stopping, adrenaline pumping suspense! And the romance ain't bad either!

Great read!

Although a stand alone story - you (reader) would be better grounded by reading the previous stories. "I" felt I'd missed something a time or two because I hadn't. The story of Karin & TJ - the heart, passion and determination makes a GREAT LOVE STORY! The mystery - drugs, thefts, and murder(s) - make it very interesting. I do LOVE catching the bad guy(s). Thank you for your time, talent and the story!

This series combines romance with authentic Navy settings, with a thriller-like plot. Lots of fun.

Amazing military romance????????????

Jack and Dani had a relationship but that was earlier and now Jack is undercover and meets with Dani again. This is a great story line full of action and twists and turns. This deals with some subjects that were hard to read but it made the story interesting. Dani is a strong women in a field that is dangerous for women, but she rocked it. Jack was a strong character that was put in a very tough situation. This is a great story that flowed well and there was no lack of action and intrigue. This is a great story.
